France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Red wine with a medium towards deep ruby red colour, with a slight evolution on the rim. Fresh nose, clean, with ripe fruit; slightly dried fruit notes, quite ripe like figs, prunes. Hint of leather, hint of tobacco, but really no noticeable oak. Palate has medium body, quite high acidity, but gentle tannin; it feels like a vinification which is showing emphasis on the fruit. Crushed berries, sweet plum, low oak, quite soft tannin. Quite luscious and soft fruit, juicy with a good drinkability. Medium weight, medium length, quite attractive and straightforward, for early drinking.
