Dark purple core and a mature rim. Intense nose with some mature notes, slightly balsamic with dried herbs, violet, ripe dark fruit, tobacco and new oak. The palate is dense and concentrated still with a high extraction and grippy tannin, spicy sweet fruit notes and a rather long finish. Still needing time to soften.
