France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
White wine, appearing quite youthful, thanks to a slightly green hue. Quite intense light towards medium-deep golden colour. Fine nose. There is elegantly toasted notes at first. Displaying some new oak, but really fine oak. In combination with what seems like Chardonnay style. More restrained and more on the citrusy, nutty side, with a mineral notion as well. Good grip on the palate here. Quite Burgundian style, I would say. So once again I get this notion of Chardonnay in oak. It is nicely restrained by bright acidity. There is a hint of that butterness, some roasted nuts. The fruit is ripe but it is rather on the citrusy white flesh fruit; like pear, apple, citrus and those nuts. Good mouthfeel. Classically dry and nice freshness. Oak is very nicely integrated on the palate with a rather long and salivating finish.
