Israel,
Galilée,
Red wine with a medium towards deep colour, we have a medium deep ruby centre much lighter towards the rim, with an approaching maturity in terms of colour. The nose is nicely developed here, beyond those primary fruits, first of all with have those dark fruity notes of cassis, dark plum - quite ripe. To me it feels like a ripe Cabernet Sauvignon that gets that slight hint of mint, sage. Then we have complex spiciness coming through as well that indicates a certain maturity and development; like fine spices, a hint of leather. Good gripe on the palate, it is full bodied. It is certainly a warm climate style, but I think this is nicely underlined by vital freshness. Good quality tannin, it feels far younger on the palate then on the nose. I think it is a good combination of that quite ample fruit, ample dark fruit, with those cassis flavours. Good length, good persistence, purity of fruit. A wine I would happily drink today, after some aeration, but it certainty has a structure to be aged for many more years.
