Alexandre Poutrain & Romain Parisis – Evil Red – 2018

Intense dark inky purple colour. Youthful nose displaying dark and ripe fruit like cassis, plum, cherry with sage and bay leaf, a mild hint of oak in the background. The palate shows dense fruit within a medium bodied frame, good freshness paired with inky dark fruit notes, crushed black currants, a gentle hint of oak and butterscotch underneath, good purity and a long finish. Still youthful but should develop really well.
