Amphorae – Makura Merlot Barbera Kosher – 2008

Intense dark ruby core. The nose is still young and intense, high ripeness, modern new oak, spices and dark cassis, blackberry, cherry notes. Good structure and a tannic backbone, fine volume and plenty of dark fruit. Fine spices and dark fruit on the aftertaste, still with a slight hint of tannin on the finish, but well made, long and potent.
