Inky black purple core. Intense oak on the nose, smoke, vanilla and roasted wood with sweet plum and dark berries. The palate is dense with mostly oak flavours, beneath it dark berry fruit, high tannin and good length, just a bit dominated by oak at present, and a slight tannic finish. Should improve.
