Apaltagua – Grial – 2012

Colchagua Valley
MEDAILLE-TASTED-89-2024
Chile,
Colchagua Valley,
Intense dark purple core. Nuanced nose with spicy notes of bay leaf, sage, chamomile and dark fruit like cassis and plum. The palate is ripe, concentrated and warm, rich and unctuous with rather high tannin. Still a bit youthful on the palate, there is a hint of oak as well followed by a long dense finish. An ambitious wine, but still needing time to soften.
