Arnaldo Caprai – Collepiano – 2012
Montefalco Sagrantino

Italy,
Umbria,
Dark inky core with a lighter ruby rim. The nose shows some maturity, walnut and leather (light oxidation) ripe dark fruit - plum, cherry, chocolate and wild herbs. The palate is dense and full, still on the tannic side with sweet dark fruit and spicy notes of wild herbs, good length and freshness, just needs some time to soften the tannin even if the nose feels mature.
