France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Medium intense colour here ruby-red, slightly watery rim indicates some evolution. Pure nose, no indication of oak. Combining red and dark fruit I pick up raspberry here. Dark plum, quite ripe, quite sweet with raspberry. Slight hint of liquorice or anise seed. Well-rounded palate here. We have quite dense in terms of structure and weight. Intense fruitiness, but quite rounded with youthful but fine tannin. Well preserved acidity. Elegant fruit combining those red and dark berries with dried spices like white pepper, cardamom. Quite persistent on the finish. Still youthful presenting itself fairly well. I would still prefer to put it another year in the cellar and it should develop over the coming two, three, four, five years.
