Baldi Pierfranco – Balau – 2014

Young dark purple colour. Fine nose, some complexity and a hint of oak with generous dark fruit, plum, dark berries and mild spices. The palate is rather full, tasty and generous with dense dark fruit, ripe but present tannin, some noticeable but integrated oak giving vanilla and sweet spices, and lingering cherry flavours on the finish. Good length, a fine example with nuance and substance.
