Intense dark inky almost opaque colour. Intense aromas of new oak, vanilla, gingerbread spices, ripe plum, cherry and blackberry. The palate is dense and concentrated with high ripeness and a plush texture, really fine tannin, some new oak flavours and sweet dark fruit like jammed plum and crème de cassis. The finish is supple and rounded with a really long and warming finish. Should still gain complexity from further ageing but nicely done.
