Barone Ricasoli – Castello di Brolio – 2008

Rather dark ruby with a blue centre; the nose is young and offers darker fruit aromas, plum, blackcurrant, aromatic herbs and some new oak; the palate has good density and attractively balanced acidity, pure dark fruit, blackcurrant, dark cherry and plum, soft tannin, good roundness and length.
