France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Dark intense ruby core, some evolution on the rim, quite high viscosity. Fresh nose, some floral notes, red fruits and plum. There’s a slight hint of roasted oak in the background, and quite sweet ripe fruit. The palate has medium weight, quite soft texture, integrated tannins already, rounded with juicy fruit indicating freshly crushed berries, plum, mild spices. Really no indication of oak. Medium-long aftertaste, well-integrated fruit, gentle spiciness, a bit more tannin on the finish, but still a perfectly drinkable wine, which should of course best be drunk with food, with something meaty and rich in proteins to tamper those tannins. A fine result.
