Australia,
Barossa Valley,
Medium to dark ruby-red colour, rather high density. Quite dense core here, dark ruby-red. The nose is still youthful, with an emphasis on fruit. Quite a mix here of red and dark berries, like sweet plum, blackberry, some mild spices like clove, ginger and black pepper. Just a slight hint of roasted wood. The palate has medium weight, quite soft and subtle in texture, with juicy dark fruit. Still youthful but very tempting. I like that sensation of freshly crushed berries, like blackberry, sweet plum. Mild spiciness on the palate as well. So round and subtle with a nice juiciness. Quite a long finish, the wood has toned down. Mild acidity, but still with a notion of freshness and quite discreet wood. A lush wine with very fine drinkability right now.
