Hungary,
Villany,
Red wine with a dense core, it’s starting to lose some colour towards the rim; quite viscous. Intense nose here, showing off a lot of ripeness, a wealth of dark berry plum cassis, spices like aniseed, a hint of dill, a small hint of oak, and a quite sweet fruity character. Palate is surely full-bodied, with dense fruit, quite high extract, but it feels like exactly today it starts to integrate better. I still feel some underlying oak there, with some toasted notes. Still it has a good balance I would say, still youthful but perfectly approachable, a modern style with roasted spicy dark fruit, good length, and a good wealth of ripe modern fruit.
