Argentina,
Mendoza,
Red wine with a medium towards deep ruby-red colour. The nose feels very young. There is mostly primary fruit aromas of freshly crushed berries, plum and red berries. There is a slight presence of something herbal, a hint of mint and sage. No noticeable oak. The palate has medium weight, still appearing quite youthful there. There is a good dose of young tannin in there. Appearing a bit dry on the finish, not austere by any means, but it is rather the age showing here. The fruit is a good mix of red and dark berries, there is slight presence of that Cabernet character in terms of cassis. There is a herbal presence as well, but ripe herbs. Good level of acidity on the finish, giving a good dose of freshness. It feels like a warm climate still with a moderate level of ripeness. Medium length, quite rounded on the finish, apart from a slight tannic presence. So a wine that should be drinkable from next year and onwards.
