Argentina,
Patagonia,
Very dark and inky colour here, displaying youth. The nose is fairly intense here, with a lot of things going on. Showing first of all some balsamic notes, with hints of mint, slightly volatile with a lot of dark cherry, dark plum and a slight hint of wood. I think the palate keeps within the medium body frame, but it has a good density of fruit, quite young fruit like crushed plum, cassis, with some aromatic herbs - dried herbs. Fine integration of wood, it is still slightly tannic, but that is something that will easily integrate within the coming one or two years I think. So not harsh by any means, I rather like the freshness arrived from the tannins and the acidity. It has a good length, it is pretty gripey with a fine persistence there. Displaying that ripe dark fruit with a good presence of freshness. So quite enjoyable today, but it will get even better with age.
