Bodega Marañones – Pena Caballera – 2013

Dark purple core. Some floral notes, lavender and herbs with ripe dark plum and crushed berries. The palate is bold and broad with a dense core of dark fruit, chocolate notes, fine and grainy tannin, plenty of ripe fruit but modest oak, good grip and length. Modern and plush balanced for its style.
