Intense dark purple colour. Ripe dark fruit, jammed dark berries with some leafy and herbal notes. The palate is dense with fairly high extraction, slightly tight and firm at present with sweet fruit, some roasted and woody notes followed by a rather long finish. A bit youthful and restrained, needs time.
