Inky dark purple colour. Sweet nose of jammed cherry and blackberry, a mild spiciness and modest oak. The palate is dense and concentrated but with refreshing tannin/acidity and peppery, spicy notes, good nuance and a long lingering finish, bold, modern and ripe with good balance and drinkability. Should develop more complexity and nuance from further ageing.
