Argentina,
Mendoza,
Medium deep colour here, dark ruby with a slightly lighter rim. Fine nose. There is some evolution here, there is a lot of nuances. I think a fine combination of wood, such as cedar wood, with tobacco, slight floral touch and a fine combination of red and dark berries such as plum, cassis, with some dried herbs, a slight touch of mint and sage. Some peppery notes. Very nice palate. It is a dense wine with a fine concentration. I like the digest quality in this one. Good level of acidity, fine oak. Juicy and rounded fruit. Quite subtle with a certain amount of complexity. A layered spiciness. I think the alcohol is in place, not obtrusive in any way. A very long and lingering finish, with an approaching complexity and fine spiciness. A wine I would happily drink already today, but it should certainly evolve for quite some time.
