Dense purple core and a lighter rim. The nose has some maturity with fine oak notes, tobacco, smoke, mocha and ripe cherry notes. The palate is dense and vigorous, still on the youthful side but nicely built with fine oak, spiciness and layers of dark cherry fruit with cassis, meaty and peppery notes.
