Bodegas Bilbainas – Viña Pomal Vinos Singulares – 2012

Dark purple core. Pure nose, dark spicy fruit, freshly ground pepper, blackberry, tobacco and fine wood. The palate is dense with good grip in a medium body, bright dark fruit flavours, layers of clove, aniseed, pepper and tobacco with a rounded texture, and fine tannin. A long and vigorous finish with ripe dark fruit and an underlying freshness. Very good.
