Dense ruby core but a lighter rim. Ripe nose with sweet fruit, red and dark berries, pure fruit, rather modest oak, some tobacco and mild spices. The palate has good bite and grip, a dense fruity core, rounded tannin, some spicy notes of star anise, clove and mild oak, and a long finish, supple with juicy modern fruit.
