Inky dark core and a lighter ruby rim. Some maturity and evolution, with dried fruit, kirsch, dried herbs, toasted oak, and liquorice. The palate is dense and rather extracted, with sweet fruit but slightly austere tannin and acidity. Mature, with drying fruit, long finish, but a bit on the dry side.
