Argentina,
Mendoza,
Red wine with a medium towards deep colour. You can still see through and it is rather ruby-red nuance. Fine nose here, layered with a certain evolution. There is a fine oak in the background, reminiscent of tobacco and cedar wood. Quite elegant fruit here with a mix of red and dark fruit like red currant, cassis, fine spices. Nice palate here, polished texture. I get a feeling that this is a wine that's gotten a certain aging in oak. So it is right now showing a great drinkability. In terms of texture, good texture, quite polished here with gentle tannin. It has a good density of fruit, but it is still not a massive wine, it keeps somewhere in the medium body range. A bit more because of the weight there. I get notes of cassis, probably more of a Cabernet driven style if I might be courageous and say so. Elegant spiciness. I like the freshness in this one as well. It feels like a warm climate style, well restrained with a good level of freshness, rounded texture, very nice hints of cassis on the finish. Good length, very nice example with superb drinkability right now.
