Bodegas Frontaura – Aponte – 2008

Still a dark ruby core but paler rim. Intense nose with some maturity, pure dark fruit, some prune, dark berries, tobacco and some roasted notes towards coffee beans and mocha. The palate is dense and ripe, yet well balanced by a fresh acidity and ripe grainy tannin adding freshness, really mouth filling and bold with a dense and muscular finish. Could still keep and develop but feels rather ready to drink to me.
