Dense dark core and a ruby rim showing maturity. The nose is mature offering ripe plum, some dried fruit notes, leather and dry spice with a hint of oak underneath. Powerful and dense palate, rich in tannin, it feels like it is just about opening, ample dark fruit with leather and tobacco flavours, peppery with dark chocolate notes and a long warm finish. Very bold and concentrated, good maturity and nuance today.
