Quite dense core here, dark purple with a ruby rim and a quite high viscosity. The nose is also showing a high level of ripeness here, we have a plethora of dark fruit, dark cherry, dark plum, some spices like aniseed; and a fair amount of oak as well. I would say quite modern elaborate style with this high ripeness and quite present oak, some vanilla, some roasted notes. Really full-bodied on the palate; we have a good density of fruit, we have fairly high extract here, still with present tannin. We have present oak on the palate. It still feels to me unfinished, not in a negative way but it’s a quite modern wine with a lot of elements that play together, and I think it’s certainly a wine that would gain complexity from further aging. Really warm and ripe, once again that black fruit is indicating a high level of ripeness. It’s certainly a long finish; a bit more than long, because it keeps going on there. High ripeness in terms of alcohol as well. A very modern interpretation, with a lot of everything; and I think it has a good potential for development. I would like to put it back in the cellar though, as I find it still a bit youthful with all the components playing a bit in different leagues. Ambitious wine, with a good potential.
