Dense dark ruby red colour with an ageing rim. Complex nose layered with some new oak vanilla, dark plum, cherry, wild herbs and tobacco. Very good density on the palate, high concentration but fine-tuned with layered dark fruit, spicy and peppery with modest oak, dense dark fruit with plum and wild berries, warm and ripe for sure but backed up by a vital freshness, long and intense finish, starting to open up with a certain complexity and should age very well.
