Argentina,
Mendoza,
Very youthful appearance here, intense dark blue-purple colour, colouring the glass. Modern nose here offering both quite ripe sweet fruit, some roasted oak and some spiciness as well. Almost a hint of jam there, blackberry, plum, a hint of smokiness. The palate is generous, on the fuller side. With good density of fruit, slightly sweeter fruit here, like really ripe plum, jammed blackberry. Still appearing rather youthful, because there is still a presence of oak on the taste. I think the extraction is quite high, but there is nothing harsh or austere in there. The tannins are present, but rather act refreshing in this case. There is not a lot of acidity per se, so the tannins are actually adding freshness to the wine. Quite sweet, modern opulent style. Rather full, not the most dense or intense with a quite long finish. An attractive style, I would say for rather early drinking. It could certainly keep for a few years, but it is probably showing at its best around now.
