Inky dark purple core and hue. Intense nose offering violet, liquorice, cassis, blackberry, and inky dark fruit notes, with just a gentle hint of oak. Rather massive palate, yet with fine extraction and no harshness or dryness. Powdery tannins and well-balanced acidity, layers of fresh dark fruit, a mild oak-derived spiciness, and a very long, vigorous finish. Seriously done.
