Caiarossa – 2011

Dark dense core with a purple hue. Slightly balsamic nose showing leather, dry spices and sweet fruit. The palate has medium weight, rounded texture and ripe jammed fruit, still appearing youthful with a slight tannic sensation on the finish, but with good length and plenty of stuffing. It is certainly a wine that will divide tasters, being slightly volatile and meaty but at least it shows character.
