Italy,
Tuscany,
Quite youthful colour here, there is still a hint of blue at the core. Otherwise medium deep ruby-red. Pure nose. Leaning towards quite a mix of red and dark berries. Some cassis redcurrant, with cherry, anise seed and aromatic herbs, but no indication of oak. The palate is fairly open and accessible. It is a bit more than medium weight. Good density of fruit but the texture is quite loose already with integrated on the present tannin. Good freshness. A fine mix, it certainly leans towards the Cabernet flavours, in terms of redcurrant, blackcurrant, aromatic herbs such as sage and mint. Finish is quite long. Still with a dominance of fruit. Just a gentle spiciness on the finish. Certainly a wine that should gain more harmony from further ageing. If you want to approach it already I would put it in the decanter for a half an hour and enjoy it with a juicy piece of steak.
