Dense dark purple colour with a lighter maturing rim. Intense nose with an approaching complexity, some smoky notes, black truffle, blackberry, cassis and tobacco with fine oak. The palate is dense, still youthful but ripe extract and modest oak, crushed dark berries, cassis and spicy sage and tobacco notes, and a long warm and layered finish with fine spiciness and savoury dark fruit.
