Inky black core and a lighter rim. Pure, polished and modern nose with fine oak, a hint of smokiness, ripe dark berries, cassis, tobacco and mild spices. The palate is ample and opulent but with a fine balance of grainy tannin and a fresh acidity, rounded and layered fruit with a fine hint of butterscotch. Long and warm finish, caressing aftertaste, really nice drinkability.
