Dense core and lighter colour towards the rim. Complex nose, slightly balsamic with light smoke and toast, layers of ripe cherry, prune, leather, tobacco, and dried herbs. Dense palate, still youthful but with ripe extract, crushed cherry and red berries with layers of pepper and herbal spice leading on to a long and vigorous finish.
