White wine with a light golden nuance, still appearing youthful thanks to a slight green hue. Quite an intense nose, showing off some roasted oak. Quite tropical fruit, the nose seems to have a certain evolution. There is some nuttiness there, and quite bold, buttery fruit. Palate is quite full, for a white wine. It has a slight hint of phenolic compounds adding a gentle bitterness with some zesty notes like lemon zest. Quite pronounced oak, some roasted flavours on the palate as well. In terms of fruitiness, it is quite a ripe fruit, yellow fruit like pineapple, apricot, still with a quite high acidity. The finish is quite long. I think this is a wine that should develop nicely. Today I find the oak being a bit too present, stripping the wine a little bit of the fruit, but none the less a good wine.
