Portugal,
Douro,
Still very dense core, dark ruby-red I would say. Fine nose here. Good level of ripeness. Combining mostly dark berries with some red fruit, cherry, blackberry. Good hint of minerality. There is a fine hint of wood and vanilla in the background. It has a good grip on the palate. I like this combination between ripeness and freshness. Really juicy and dark berry fruit but with a bright acidity. Oak is well integrated as well. There is a backbone of fine tannin. No tannic sensation really on the palate. So well-balanced, modern style wine. Good grip and long lingering finish, with those spicy notes and slight hint of oak. Good.
