Chile,
Colchagua Valley,
Red wine that seems to start to lose some of its colour intensity. More brick ruby towards the rim. The nose is pretty intense. Mainly with sweet fruit, but a hint of evolution as well. Some leather, some dried spices. Then predominantly cassis, almost like black currant, caramel, dark plum. Good grip on the palate. Quite full-bodied here. A wine I would say feels like it is starting to loosen up a little bit. There is still a core of tannin, but it is starting to round off. Quite delicious dark fruit, with plum, cassis, infused with some fresh herbs, some tobacco, tea leaf. Good level of freshness and a quite long finish.
