Italy,
Lazio,
Very intense and inky colour here. Black purple core. Intense nose as well with black inky fruit, like freshly crushed blackcurrants with violet, dark cherry. Good purity of fruit here. No indication of oak. Very dense palate. Truly full-bodied, with a lot of extract and a lot of fruit density here. Once again the fruit is very reminiscent of blackcurrants, really ripe blackcurrants. So a lot of extract. However, it is not really tannic. I think the tannins feel integrated. The wine is still young, but it does combine that high ripeness with fresh acidity. Naturally with all that extract it keeps lingering for quite some time on the aftertaste. It is still very youthful and straightforward without that complexity that comes with age. This one should easily have a more than ten years of development, considering the concentration and extract in this one. Put it back in your cellar and see what happens.
