Castel Mimi – Merlot Reserve – 2012

Dark ruby core with a purple hue. Intense nose of ripe dark cherry, some new oak and roasted notes. The palate is still a bit on the tannic side with ripe red and dark fruit flavours, spicy vanilla and roasted notes on the finish. Could still soften a bit.
