Italy,
Tuscany,
Red wine with a very dense core, ruby, still with the presence of something blue-purple; not a lot of evolution. Intense nose here, very pure, with layers of dark fruit; very clearly cassis, dark cherry, some herbal notes but ripe herbs like mint, sage. Feels quite Cabernet in terms of style. Really powerful on the palate, no lightweight here; good weight, good volume, dense fruit, but still underlined by a very nice freshness. Tannins are very present; I think they’re fine, they’re polished but we still feel them here, they still give us a slightly dry sensation on the finish. However it’s a wine with definitely a good length, good volume. I think it’s perfectly drinkable today, even if it has the structure to age for many more years. Very generous wine, with that dark cassis, almost Cabernet-like fruit, with those ripe herbs, a very rich structure and good length.
