Dense ruby red core with an aged rim. The nose offers fine oak, some roasted notes, red and dark berries with clove, ginger and tobacco. Ample and structured with rich tannin, still young but starting to open, layers of sweet fruit backed by a bright acidity, fine oak and a long layered finish. A very fine example, yet needing time to open.
