Castello di Gabbiano – Alleanza – 2011

Rather dark ruby red starting to develop. The nose has some maturity showing balsamic notes, wild herbs, cherry, plum and leather. The palate is quite full with a tannic backbone showing more oak on the palate than the nose, slightly austere texture today but nice fruit and certainly character.
