Italy,
Tuscany,
Red wine with a medium-deep ruby red colour. It’s youthful and fresh on the nose; this one is showing more primary fruit, no presence of oak really, more on the red berry, red cherry, with a certain sweet spiciness. The palate has medium weight in terms of fruitiness, still with a youthful extract and pronounced tannins on the mid-palate; but rather well-balanced, and I think the tannin gives a lift to that rather sweet - almost cooked - fruit, like stewed red berries. It has a certain length, medium towards long, and I think it appears pretty drinkable today. One more year and it will gain some more roundness; but nicely made in a traditional style.
