Castello Monsanto – Il Poggio Riserva – 2011

Mature ruby red colour. Elegant nose of cherry and red berries, rather burgundian with a fine spiciness and discreet oak. The palate is quite dense but with a rounded texture, fine and grainy tannin, fresh red fruit, ginger and clove notes followed by a long supple finish. Very good.
