Castiglion del Bosco – Prima Pietra – 2013

Bright dark ruby with a purple hue. The nose is pure with modern dark fruit, notes of cassis, dark cherry and fine oak. Dense and structured palate with good extraction, ripe and rounded yet with plenty of finely grained tannins, notes of cocoa bean, dark fruit, sage and aniseed with fine oak and a long lingering finish. Still a youthful wine but potent with fine purity and structure for long ageing.
