Cave de L’Abbé Rous – Baillaury – 2008
Banyuls
, Grand Cru
France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Tawny colour with a slight garnet hue. Intense, complex and mature nose offering sweet and dried fruit like macerated cherries, kirsch, prunes, figs, roasted nuts, leather and tobacco. Very rewarding palate with balanced sweetness, yet it is underlined by fine tannin, acidity and a nice "dry" sensation, nutty and complex with plenty of dry spices, balanced alcohol and a very good grip and length.
